Proposed Bylaw Updates

From time-to-time, every organization reviews its foundational documents to ensure align with the current state of the organization and to make sure they provide direction for the organization's growth.

In late 2023, the need to update one of the bylaws was noted. This led to the formation of a small ad-hoc committee to take on a more thorough review. That committee looked at the by-laws of peer organizations, including the Land Trust Alliance of BC, to make sure Pender Conservancy bylaws were aligned with current best practices.

After extensive review the proposed changes have been approved by the board for presentation at the 2025 AGM where they will require a 75% majority vote to pass. Please see the attached documents for the specific changes along with the explanatory notes so you can make an informed vote at the AGM.
