Our goal is within reach to permanently protect S,DÁYES Flycatcher Forest

Two months into our campaign, we are less than $20,000 away from our fundraising goal!

When we launched our fundraising campaign in November 2020 to purchase and protect S,DÁYES Flycatcher Forest on North Pender Island, we could not have anticipated that we would be so close to reaching our goal after only 2 months—and this success is because of you! Our most sincere thanks to all of the individual donors who have helped get us this far—donations have come in from our local Pender community, throughout coastal BC and beyond, even from as far away as New Brunswick!

But we need your help to get us to our final goal! Any amount you are able to contribute will help us meet our target, and permanently protect this ecologically valuable forest and wetland.

Once the land acquisition is complete, we will begin the work to ensure the land is protected in perpetuity with a conservation covenant, develop a long-term stewardship plan and begin invasive plant removals and other restoration activities. S,DÁYES Flycatcher Forest will be an ecological reserve, meaning ecological health and preservation of biodiversity will always be our highest priorities.
