Every dollar donated towards the protection of KELÁ_EKE Kingfisher Forest until the end of the year will be matched.

As we enter the giving season, the Pender Islands Conservancy and Raincoast Conservation Foundation are thrilled to announce a donation matching campaign to support the purchase and permanent protection of KELÁ_EKE Kingfisher Forest. Every dollar donated before December 31, 2022 will be matched by anonymous donors. This is a chance for you to double your impact! We have less than two months remaining to reach our $2.1 million goal.

We are currently 70% of the way there, having already raised nearly $1,500,000. A large portion of these funds have come from nearly 500 individual donors from across Canada, and even from as far afield as the United States, France and Switzerland. We have until the end of the year to reach our final target. Our need is urgent, but we have seen our community of supporters move mountains when they work together to protect the ecosystems they love. With the deadline to protect this old growth forest of the future fast approaching, will you help us reach critical mass and make this conservation dream a reality?

Those interested in doubling their impact and helping us secure the pledged matching funds must make their contribution to the KELÁ_EKE Kingfisher Forest before December 31, 2022. Donations can be made through the Pender Conservancy or Raincoast Conservation Foundation. As registered charitable not-for-profits, both organizations can issue an official tax receipt in exchange for your gift. This is a terrific opportunity to maximize your tax benefits while supporting a worthwhile cause. And if you prefer to donate in person, come and visit us at the Conservancy Nature Centre at Hope Bay on Pender Island between Weds-Sun from 11-3. Our Centre staff and volunteers can process donations via cash, cheque or card.

We are so grateful to everyone who has gotten us to this point and to those who continue to support us as we work toward raising the remaining 30% of our fundraising goal.
