About the Event

Bob Turner is a long-time resident of Nex̱wlélex̱wem /Bowen Island, its former mayor, and a retired federal geoscientist, who began film making in 2014. Since then, he has created over 40 short movies for his Bob Turner YouTube channel and website (OurSalishSea.ca) about wildlife and wild places in the Salish Sea – from orcas and salmon runs to tide pool life and herring spawns. Many of his short movies support local restoration efforts for eelgrass and estuaries, and oppose the herring fishery, logging ancient forests, and mines.

Cost: $5 at the door(no pre-booking necessary) and a door prize
