About the Event
Remove that broom on your own property, ideally once it starts the bloom! Help your neighbour! If you have room, stash it in a corner on your property where it will decay.
Be Aware!
Birds are starting to nest! If you hear or see an agitated bird, give that location a wide buffer zone!
If you have a lot of broom, you can bring it down to our drop-off sites where it will be taken away to be composted. The drop off sites between May 7-20 ONLY are at Danny Martin Park parking lot (off Buccaneers)on North Pender, and South Pender location TBC. Please ensure that you ONLY have broom plants and NO SEEDS.
If you do not have a way to get your broom to the drop off sites, please contact us at info@penderconservancy.org.Our volunteer coordinator will arrange pick up between May 10-20. Donations are welcome for this service.
